We (actually Brad;) planted our first garden 5 years ago. It’s been fun & rewarding to do this every year. My grandfather is my inspiration when it comes to gardening. He is in his 90’s & still plants a giant garden filled with squash, zucchini, okra, corn, peas, cucumber, tomato, watermelon & cantaloupe. Every summer since I can remember we’ve had fresh vegetables to eat from Pawpaw. Here are a few pictures of our garden

Pawpaw gave us a few of his tomato cages (that he made). They are really tall & made from rebar so they are super sturdy. This helps when the tomato plants get tall & heavy with fruit.
Now on to a recipe you can make with veggies right from your garden. I LOVE guacamole & we eat it once a week. Here’s what I do…
I use my trusty mini chop

I zap a hand full of cherry tomatoes, some onion, jalapeño, a little cilantro in the mini chop…

In a separate bowl scoop the avocado out

Then dump the tomato mixture on top of the avocado

Then mash the avocado with a fork folding the tomato mixture in the same time. Add salt to taste.
